- Garfield Community - near ktown
How would you describe your neighborhood and how do you plan on exploring its unique personality?
- My neighborhood is prodominantly filled with African Americans. Everybody knows everybody, and everyone has grown up with one another over the years. I live near ktown where the blocks are hard to differentiate if you havent been here before. Everyone is familiar with one another and there is a scarce of new faces. A lot of teens in the area go to neighborhood highschools, and they're really the community. The children make the neighborhood. There's a fire station in the neighborhood, old town houses, and some modern houses. Parks and schools are old and rundown. The neiughborhood itself is in need of a makeover. There are boys on every corner, and as for every boy you see on the corner there's a cop.
